Where in the world?
Always a sign. All roads and detours lead to Santa Vittoria.
Le Marche is located in the central part of Italy, east of Tuscany and Umbria, on the Adriatic coast.
Santa Vittoria is a short driving distance from the international airports of Ancona in the north and Pescara, in Abruzzo, to the south. Ciampino airport in Roma is a three hour drive away. The capital city of Ancona has good ferry connections to Albania, Greece and Croatia.
The main motorway, A14, runs along the Adriatic coast with smaller roads leading towards the Sibillini mountains. From the main roads is a network of smaller roads that connect the villages and towns of the region.
Heading towards Santa Vittoria.
Pescara to Santa Vittoria:
Turn your rental car to the right on the road passing the airport. Drive for aproximately ten minutes towards the town of Chieti, untill you find the signs leading you to A14, the coastal highway, finding it you choose direction: Ancona.
Reaching the exit of Pedaso, make your turn and head towards the hinterland and follow the road towards Santa Vittoria in Matenano.
Ciampino, Roma:
Followed the instructions on the GPS wich took us towards SV through some less used roads through Lazio on the SS4 towards Ascoli Piceno. Eventually we found signs for Communanza and after a while Santa Vittoria. Going back we decided to head towards Pescara on the A14, in the Grand Sasso area we found the highway towards Rome.
